ING is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Financial Crime Compliance Specialist to strengthen the Group Compliance Anti-Bribery and Corruption team (“FCC AB&C team”). Do you like being in the centre of a global function, connecting with stakeholders across the organisation? 

 

Your team 
The FCC AB&C team within Group Compliance is responsible for setting ING’s Group approach for the management of bribery and corruption risks.  

 

You will become part of a team of approximately eight colleagues that provides risk stewardship and challenge, facilitates centralized oversight and a robust culture of compliance. We do this by setting the policy framework and advising on bribery and corruption risks, and by keeping up to date with external developments in threats, risks, and regulatory developments. We are always looking for opportunities to improve our work and processes.   

Collaboration is key for our team. We interact with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the organization. This is an opportunity for you to join the Compliance function and work on the fight against financial crime. 

 

Role and responsibilities 
As a Specialist within the FCC AB&C team, you will have the following responsibilities:  

  • Assist in developing and enhancing ING’s global Anti-Bribery and Corruption Compliance program. 

  • Support and guide colleagues working on implementing and maintaining the program. 

  • Advise compliance colleagues in countries, functions or at business line level on bribery and corruption-related risks and requirements to ensure they act in accordance with laws, regulations and ING risk appetite as defined in ING policies. 

  • Keep up to date with significant developments and changes in relevant laws, regulations and other external developments as well as good business practices. 

  • Develop your thought leadership as a bribery and corruption subject matter expert. 

  • Be the linking pin and closely work with various stakeholders. 

  • Develop and present AB&C training and awareness materials.

  • Experience in project management in relation to risk identification, risk assessments, policies, processes and controls 

  • 1-2 years’ experience in assessing non-financial / compliance risks, preferably in a bank. 

  • A bachelor's or master's degree. 

  • Knowledge of banking business, products & services, processes and procedures. 

  • A self-starter, both pragmatic and energetic. 

  • Proactive, analytical, tech-savvy, and positive critical attitude. 

  • A team player with solid communication skills. 

  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written. And preferably in Dutch too. 

  • You have organizational sensitivity.
