Chapter Lead IT Integrator
As a Chapter Lead IT Integrator you report hierarchically to the Global IT Area Lead SEPA Processing.
The Team:
As part of the SEPA Chapter Lead team, you will lead a chapter of 10-20 internal and external engineers. ING used to have the role of Feature Engineers, which was a combined role IT Integrator and Blue Print Expert (Business Analyst). In the chapter you will find a mix of people already acting as IT Integrators, but some might have more focus on implementation, coordination or E2E testing (both coordination and implementation). The mixed team is a great opportunity to guide people towards a more uniform way of working, and to help bring more clarity to the role and responsibilities of each of those individual engineers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Decides together with the business representative who is in the lead of the change and the business parts of it. For instance, if there is a small business change the IT Integrator can be responsible for the total change. But when a Change Expert is coordinating the change the IT Integrator and Change Expert have to make an agreement about the responsibilities;
• Defines together with primary stakeholders the interdependencies and estimations of features and epics, resulting in an IT implementation plan;
• Defines together with primary stakeholders the project governance;
• Coordinates the implementation of this plan;
• Coordinates the end to end tests and activation of the new IT solutions;
• Has a strong focus of the dependencies of the features between the teams;
• Has a strong focus on the collaboration between all stakeholders / teams;
• Reports frequently the status of the IT change to the different levels in the organization.
You are an ideal candidate:
As an IT Chapter Lead you are a senior engineer, and you are seen by colleagues as a go-to person. You have not only a strong drive to constantly keep your own expertise up to speed, but also want to make an active contribution to the development and advancement of the people in your chapter and your field.
You are an energetic Chapter Lead with expertise in change delivery, people management and affinity with the technology of critical applications. As IT Integrator role you spend 50% of your time on change delivery. The remaining 50% you spend on building up expertise in your chapter and developing your chapter members.
The people in your chapter are equally ambitious as you, and you like to transfer your expertise to them and feel satisfaction from coaching (both professionally as personally) you chapter members. You are ambitious with what you and your Chapter want to achieve. You stimulate your Chapter members towards continuous improvement of their skills. You take an active role in the yearly planning of required improvements and translating these into a quarterly plan.
You have:
Strong people management and coaching skills
Understand both the technical parts of the application chain and the customer point of view
Experience with complex IT Chains
Experience with cross cultural and cross time zone collaboration.
Experience in Agile / Scrum / DevOps methodologies.
Experience with project governance, including implementation plans, status reports, deployment runbooks, test pan and coordination and project closure.
Experience with Payments (preferably SEPA Credit Transfer)
Experience with Finance processes
Experience to explain complex issues in an easy way and get people on board
Experience with working with near/offshore teams is an advantage
Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail
Bachelor / Master’s degree and an excellent level of English
