Compliance Quality Assurance Lead
The opportunity and team
The Compliance Quality Assurance (CQA) Lead is a position where all elements of the expert area Quality Assurance come together, the ‘what’ and the ‘how’. You work not only on delivery, but also on supporting a vision for the expert area and how you will contribute to DBNL’s vision ‘sustainable progress for all’ to manage both business value and how we deliver a differentiating customer experience. Therefore, we need someone who can contribute to a continuous, emerging, all-round vision that is covering all elements for the Quality Assurance.
As a Lead Compliance Quality Assurance (CQA) you report hierarchically to the Expert Lead Compliance Quality Assurance in Compliance DBNL.
Roles and responsibilities
You contribute to the vision in your expert area, introduce and nurture innovation within it;
You deliver quality assurance on 2 different fronts i) independent reviews of the first line assuring the quality of the controls we have in place to control our compliance risks and ii) thematic and process reviews, ultimately checking the adherence to global procedures and quality standards by the DBNL Management;
You contribute to the processes and activities such as Second Line Monitoring (SLM) Independent Testing activities (Key Control Testing), CQA Thematic Reviews, CQA Process Reviews and CQA Continuous Monitoring) and provide accurate and timely reporting to senior management;
You contribute to monitor and assess the quality of the implementation of policies and processes aimed at mitigating Compliance risks, perform independent testing on 1st and 2nd line activities, in line with OneCompliance Monitoring Methodology and CQA guidelines established by the Group Compliance QA team, while maintaining local peculiarities, in compliance with the regulations applicable to the Bank.

As a CQA you have the following traits and experience:
You are a expert professional with 10+ years professional experience in Compliance, Risk and/or NFR within a banking environment;
You have excellent collaboration skills and ability to work across functional lines;
You have an university degree or equivalent; and
You have an excellent level of English and Dutch (verbal/written).
You are an Orange Code ambassador;
You have prominent (global) stakeholder management and influencing skills;
You work to use the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement;
You are an energetic, motivating person who can work in a multidisciplinary setting;
You work independently, think and act out of the box and take accountability;
Communicate effectively, in which you can adapt your style and the content of your communication to the needs of others you work with. You always pay attention to the input and opinions of others;
Have a customer focus, where you build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions;
Be a data savvy, where you anticipate and leverage innovations by data driven risk management in digital and technical applications that make ING commercially stronger and more effective; and
