The team
This is a challenging opportunity for a dynamic/strong and seasoned professional with a compliance and risk management background who would like to join the Compliance Reporting & Regulatory Stakeholder Engagement team, which is part of the Group OneCompliance department (based in Amsterdam). The team operates in a challenging environment that has BaU and ad-hoc elements. The team is working with senior internal stakeholders, global stakeholders and external stakeholders; a highly ambitious team where pro-activity and initiative are embraced. The position is identified as an expert role with a focus on skills to take things on and make them happen.
Roles and responsibilities
As a Compliance Specialist:
• You are an expert coordinator who will maintain oversight and planning on ING’s regulatory stakeholder relationships (ECB, CAS, RIA), including regulatory meeting planning, preparation & coordination (both periodic and ad-hoc), minutes & action tracking, and lessons learned; as well as helping to prioritise content, chase and consolidate, maintaining spreadsheets and dashboards as needed.
• You take responsibility and ownership for specific deliverables and programmes within the team and work together with IC team members and other internal stakeholders to achieve expected results, perform analysis and come up with solutions or find alternatives.
• You hold discussions with stakeholders at all levels of ING.
• You keep abreast of significant developments and/or changes in relevant laws, regulations and good business practices, and on significant internal developments which may have an impact on the compliance risk profile of ING Bank.
• You contribute to monthly (internal) compliance risk reporting and external reporting as necessary, creating dashboards, decks and reports, assisting in the shift to take reporting to the next level.
• You ensure timely, smooth and complete follow-up on action items (internal and external).

As a Compliance Specialist you have the following traits and experience:
• You understand the elements and principles of governance in a compliance environment.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in risk management and reporting.
• You are a team player and you get the job done. You are result driven and have a hands-on mentality.
• You have a critical mindset and are precise and accurate in your work.
• You are able to prioritise, quickly processing large quantities of information, to come to the essence of the issues or tasks at hand.
• You are people-focused, connecting and interacting with others is something that comes naturally to you.
• You are a good communicator, able to convey complex messages in a simple way.
• You can perform under time pressure.
• Furthermore, you adhere to ING values, and it is evident to you that your behaviour is fully aligned with these values. You have taken or are prepared to take the Banker’s Oath.
