ING
Credit Risk Control Unit expert
The CRCU looks after the credit risk models in place for the various portfolios or Rating Systems of the bank. These models play an important role in the credit decision process. E.g., to determine the Probability of Default of a client, the Loss Given Default and the Exposure at Default of a client or facility. The CRCU provides a quality assurance on the performance of these models and ratings systems in use. Moreover, the team performs deep-dives in specific topics or themes. An example is, the work done to assess if the correct rating model is used for the correct exposures, as decision taking needs to be based on applying the correct models to the right exposures and also use the models correctly and consistently.
