ING
Data Governance and Protection Expert
There has never been a more interesting time to work at ING. In our ambitions to put sustainability at the heart of what we do and to give our customers a superior experience, we require data. High volumes of diverse, up-to-date, and truthful data, can fuel the underlying analytics and machine learning models. To be able to deal with these huge amounts of data and get the best value out of it, we need to become the number one data-driven bank.
Setting the standards for data governance
The gathering, usage and governance of data is of the highest importance for a data-driven culture – a cornerstone in our transformation. We are developing well-governed data delivery processes to ensure data availability, common understanding of business terms, high data quality, fast remediation of issues, data traceability and data control in line with regulations: an ambitious implementation based on leading technology. By showing we safely treat data, we are trustworthy for customers, regulators and employees.
Tribe Data Management NL
Data needs to be managed to prevent that data from creating more complexity. Here we come into play: We are Tribe Data Management, the experts in managing Domestic Bank NL’s data. Our tribe consists of three product areas, two platform teams and the competence centre that holds both Data Privacy and CDO experts. Our purpose - unleashing the power of data – represents our belief in the potential of data. We empower DBNL to get the best value of its data in a well-governed way, to drive sustainable growth.
Roles, responsibilities
For our CDO/Data Privacy Team, we are looking for two enthusiastic Data Governance and Protection Experts who can help us at first to improve and implement our End Using Computing strategy and roadmap. To get sustainable end-user application risk and control solutions, we aim for an up-to-date central inventory, clear and simple risk classification, monitoring of implemented controls, central registration of issues (e.g. incorrect or unavailable data) and the planned decommissioning of tools while being replaced by target tools. Do you immediately think of developing lean processes, solving governance issues, realising automated workflows and implementing scanning tools to spot if anything is missed? Do you want to collaborate with colleagues in IT, Business and Risk? Can you handle the challenge of teaming up with peers around the globe? Then join the team and help us ensure that DB NL's data is optimally aligned with business requirements and terminology.
The team
We aim for compliant data processing in DB NL and for a recognizable natural drive to secure the governance of all data. That is why the CDO/Data Privacy Team enables DB NL to meet the requirements of GDPR, BCBS239 but also internal policies and standards like EUC. How? By offering our colleagues user-friendly tools, processes, guidance, training and insights into their progress towards meeting all requirements. At the same time, we want to make it as easy as possible for them, by simplifying and automating.
Your profile and skills
- Knowledge and practical experience with data governance, data lifecycle management and the related data quality, data lineage, data issue remediation and other data governance practices
- Certified Lean Six Sigma
- University degree preferably with a data background or IT
- Understanding of IT risk and security requirements
- Enthusiastic, true team player and willing to help others to be successful
- Focus on making an impact and a drive to get things done
- Proficient in English and Dutch (verbal and written)
