We are hiring – Senior IT Engineer specialist role!

• You have solid level of banking knowledge: having worked in international wholesale banking environment for at least 5 years
• Excellent understanding of accounting structures, financial control models and treasury requirements
• You possess at least 10 years of Core Banking / Account Management system and functional experience (must have: GBS CoreBanking Application)
• You have excellent knowledge on HPNS technology, tools and utilities (HPNS7, Fup, Tacl, Enform, Safecom, Batchcom, TAL, Enscribe DB)
• You have good level of technical and middleware knowledge / awareness (WebSphere MQ Series, Nginx, Oracle RDMS,  XFB, REST APIs)
• You keep an eye on latest developments about technology tools and stacks
• You try not to fit your knowledge to the solution but try to find the relevant knowledge to be the best as a solution
• You are expert at troubleshooting on IT systems
• You have good understanding about Networking on Cloud and Cloud Security practices
• You have the skills to quickly address issues: IT, operations – is it Finacle or Front-office application, monitoring, health check, quick fixes
• You have a focus on quality and challenge your colleagues (e.g. during peer reviews)
• You speak up and challenge decisions (you ask why things are done instead of just doing them)
• You like to deliver on promises while keeping good communication lines with clients and partners
• You are relentlessly learning and thinking about new solutions

Your role & working environment

You will be Lead Engineer with heavy technical and functional knowledge- part of a globally distributed Core Banking team. The team itself builds, maintains and offers support for Core banking application used in Wholesale banking branches around the world. You will be involved in the whole development lifecycle, from refining user stories until monitoring software in production. You work closely with project managers/product owner to map out project plans, identify potential risks and coordinate progress updates.

As the banking world is changing, so are we. You will be involved in a platform migration project that will offer challenging riddles to solve, creative solutions to develop, stakeholders to manage and great satisfaction for the work accomplished. You will have the chance to build the foundation of a critical banking application. You will learn to cope with the cutting-edge ING standard infrastructure and application delivery (Azure DevOps, Cloud) infrastructure.
