You will work with our multidisciplinary GRDM Business DevOps squad, with end-to-end responsibility for ING’s Global Reference Data Management solution. You will be involved in the whole development lifecycle, from refining user stories until monitoring software in production.

The team The Juggernaut squad consists of experts from various backgrounds, including Developer and Operations engineers and Customer Journey Experts. Their purpose is to ensure consistent adoption of reference data across ING by establishing and maintaining a trusted source of record for reference data. This is an important component in various business processes, from data management to payment flows, storing and distributing both bank-wide and local reference data. they provide a web-based solution for managing and accessing the information, along with file-based distributions and API-based retrieval of reference data.

Roles and responsibilities As a Platform Engineer, we expect you to

● Have experience in a corporate and/or financial agile environment (DevOps, Scrum)

● Have the willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies

● Continuously look for ways to improve the Platform and Process in scope

● Be able to challenge the status quo and offer improvements that lead to higher quality/ease of use/maintainability

● Design reusable automations and tooling that can be leveraged by multiple projects

● Have passion for problem-solving (troubleshooting, incidents, and solutions)

● Can work under pressure, prioritize and manage time efficiently

● Be a team player (help the team achieve goals in general)

● Be part of our standby/on-call schedule for support outside office hours

● Have excellent English communication skills (explain technical topics to non-tech stakeholders)

● Perform Ops related tasks (deployments, automations, LCM, support, risk, coding, testing, runbooks, change and incident management, observability, capacity planning, engage with multiple teams and stakeholders, manage dependencies, performance, service calls)
