Financial Institutions Capital Structuring & Rating Advisor
ING Wholesale Bank- Capital Markets & Advisory’s Debt Capital Markets (‘DCM’) department is looking to hire an analyst with a strong ambition to work in the DCM Capital Solutions - Financial Institutions Capital Structuring & Rating Advisory team.
Within DCM, the Financial Institutions Capital Structuring & Rating Advisory team acts as an advisory boutique and is geared towards offering innovative solutions to Financial Institutions (banks, insurance companies, non-bank financial institutions) in the structuring and issuance of fixed income instruments, with a focus on debt capital securities (e.g., Tier 2 and Additional Tier 1 capital).
As part of the team, you will support senior colleagues in preparing solutions tailored to ING clients’ needs, assisting with clients’ pitches, structuring debt capital securities, and executing DCM deals.
The position is based in Amsterdam but our team is also based in London and has a truly global reach operating as an overlay for ING’s global DCM franchise. DCM is the unit of ING Wholesale Banking who advises and arranges debt securities funding for corporates, financial institutions, and governments on the capital markets.
Qualification/Education
Preferred experience (1 to 3 years) with an investment bank DCM desk, or bank/insurance treasury, or regulatory body, or rating agency;
Academic degree;
Basic knowledge of international capital markets and/or fixed income products;
Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills;
Familiarity with accounting and financial disclosures;
Fluency in English and excellent (English) writing skills;
Strong interest in banking and capital market topics;
Experience with banking and insurance capital and/or regulation and/or rating methodologies is a plus.
