HR Business Partner Retail Banking NL
As HR Business Partner Retail NL, you will play a central role in delivering high-impact, strategic HR and business transformation projects across Retail Banking NL. Working closely with the Head of HR Retail NL, business stakeholders, HR CoEs and People Services, you will translate strategic priorities into concrete deliverables that drive workforce transformation, capability building and performance.
This role is focused on driving key initiatives such as workforce planning, upskilling and reskilling programmes, performance culture, and transformations. You will operate in a fast-paced, high-performance environment, managing multiple priorities with clear outcomes and measurable impact.
This is a high-visibility position offering exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to work on complex, business impactful programmes that shape the future of Retail NL.
The team
You will work closely with the Head of HR Retail NL, business stakeholders, HR Centres of Expertise and People Services. The role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, requiring strong collaboration across the HR service delivery model and alignment with HR Business Partners across ING.
The team focuses on translating business priorities into impactful people solutions, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a dynamic and high-performing environment.
Roles and responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Lead and deliver strategic HR projects across Retail NL, including workforce transformation, capability building and performance culture initiatives
Design and implement strategic workforce planning models to support business priorities and future capability needs
Drive multiple projects in parallel with clear timelines, ensuring fast execution and high-quality delivery
Support the delivery of core HR cycles (performance, talent, succession and reward), ensuring high-quality execution and tangible outcomes
Develop and implement upskilling and reskilling initiatives aligned with business and transformation goals
Lead change initiatives with a structured, project-based approach, ensuring clear milestones, stakeholder alignment and measurable impact
Use people analytics and data insights to inform decision-making and shape actionable people strategies
Implement global HR solutions locally, adapting them to deliver maximum impact in the Retail NL context
Drive diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives with clear deliverables, tracking progress against defined targets
Contribute to the design and execution of talent strategies, focusing on attraction, retention and development of key talent
Act as a subject-matter expert on complex HR topics (e.g. reward, organisational design), ensuring practical and effective solutions

You bring a strong consultancy or strategy background (e.g. consulting, business management, transformation roles), enabling structured problem-solving and delivery of complex projects

You combine strong analytical thinking with a pragmatic approach, translating strategy into concrete actions and measurable outcomes

You promote and apply global people solutions, adapting CoE solutions to the specific business context while collaborating across the HR service delivery model
You hold a Master’s degree (preferably in HR or Business) and have at least 5 years of relevant HR partnering experience in an international setting, including knowledge of local employment legislation
You bring strong communication skills (Dutch and English) and experience with data, change implementation and reward-related topics to support a data-driven people agenda
