  • The team

    For our Global Tribe Datacenter & Networks, we are in search for a back-end developer to help us develop and improve infrastructure deployment workflows. Workflows automate provisioning and second day operations of personalized infrastructure such as virtual machines, storage, networking (including load-balancer and firewall rules).

    Roles and responsibilities

    The DevOps teams consists of highly skilled engineers with infrastructure knowledge. We want to extend this team with excellent software development skills and accelerate the development of our applications, microservices and APIs.

    You will design and (peer) program together with your scrum (micro) team while making use of state of the art tools & technology. Are you a software development potential that is not afraid to learn new things rapidly (software development & infrastructure), gets out of his/her comfort zone easily and wants to deliver an important contribution to the foundation of ING’s IT stack? Then we are looking for you!

    How to succeed

    • Software development expertise in Java, C++, Python and/or GO
    • Understanding of unit tests, static/dynamic code scanning, artifact management
    • Experience in building scalable microservices
    • Working with GIT & CI/CD pipelines
    • Agile/Scrum experience

    Optional advantage

    • Experience with other automation tools like Puppet, Chef, Salt stack or Ansible
    • Experience in other coding or scripting tools like Bash
    • Experience with Spring Boot/Spring Cloud
    • Certifications or proven proficiency in Networking, Virtualization and/or Security

    Your education and background

    • Professional and intellectual IT ability at least a bachelor’s degree
    • Certifications or proven proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages
    • Excellent command of spoken and written English
