ING
Intern Digital Strategy & Experience (COO People) – Amsterdam
How do you make strategy real for thousands of colleagues? And how do you ensure people actually understand where to go, who to contact and how to engage with digital products?
At COO People, we are transforming the way we work through our Digital Product Operating Model (DPOM). We are looking for an intern who will help us turn this into a simple and intuitive experience for our internal customers. Not by writing slides, but by building something people will actually use.
The team
You will join COO People, where we are driving the digital transformation of HR within ING and are elevating employee experience. We are moving from a demand-driven organisation to a product-led way of working, with clear ownership, prioritisation and accountability.
A key part of this transformation is making our operating model understandable and accessible. Today, it is not always clear for stakeholders where to go, who to contact or how to engage with our COO People team and digital products. Your role will be to help solve exactly that.
You will work closely with the COO People strategy team and Digital Product teams, giving you a unique view into how strategy, product and operations come together.
Roles and responsibilities
In this role, you will take ownership of translating our operating model into a clear and usable experience for our stakeholders.
- Designing and building a SharePoint “entry point” for COO People and Digital Products
- Translating strategy and operating model concepts into a simple, intuitive structure
- Creating clear navigation so stakeholders know where to go, who to contact and how to engage
- Gathering input and feedback from users and continuously improving the experience
- Challenging existing ways of working and proposing better, more user-friendly solutions
- Supporting the COO People strategy team in making our transformation tangible and actionable
How to succeed
We hire smart people like you for your potential. Our biggest expectation is that you’ll stay curious. Keep learning. Take on responsibility. In return, we’ll back you to develop into an even more awesome version of yourself.
- You design experiences from a user perspective and simplify complex topics
- You turn ideas into concrete outputs and are comfortable building things yourself
- You work in a structured way and bring clarity where things are still evolving
- You are proactive and not afraid to challenge stakeholders
- You combine an interest in strategy with a hands-on mindset
- You are comfortable working with tools like SharePoint and creating structured content
Rewards and benefits
This is a great opportunity to train with highly skilled people who are experts in their field. You’ll do a lot and learn a lot – not only about your specialist area and the bank, but also about yourself and whether this type of environment is right for you.
You’ll also benefit from:
- Internship allowance
- Your own work laptop
- Hybrid working to blend home working for focus and office working for collaboration and co-creation
- Personal growth and challenging work with endless possibilities
- An informal working environment with innovative colleagues
During the duration of your internship at ING, it is mandatory to be enrolled at a Dutch university (or EU-university for EU passport holders).
