Intern Global Retail Strategy Office
ING Retail Banking serves more than 39 million customers across 10 countries. The Global Retail organisation is end-to-end responsible for the three retail segments: Private Individuals, Business Banking, and Private Banking & Wealth Management. The Retail Strategy Office supports the Global Head of Retail Banking in setting the Retail Banking strategy and priorities and facilitating their effective execution.
As an intern in the Retail Strategy Office, you will gain exposure to a range of projects across the Retail Banking organisation, which presents an opportunity to understand the Retail Banking business at its broadest, support various strategic initiatives, and expand your network. In this role, you will report to the Head of the Strategy Office and work closely with the Strategy Office team members and other stakeholders in the Global Retail organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support the team with input collection and analyses for strategic initiatives in Retail Banking
- Monitor the execution of strategic priorities and provide well-structured management summaries
- Build understanding, benchmark and monitor the wider competitive environment to attract attention to relevant trends and opportunities
- Provide assistance in business management activities and contribute to strengthening the way of working within the Global Retail organisation

Key attributes and skills we are looking for:
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree, preferably with an Economic, Business, Finance, Accounting, or similar domain specialisation
- Well-organised and accurate
- A reliable team player who is highly motivated and eager to learn
- Able to operate in a fast-paced work environment while still maintaining structure
- Proactive, especially in a hybrid working environment
- A communicator who can demonstrate and convey information clearly and effectively
- Available from 1 March 2025 for a period of up to six months
