In order to strengthen the AI & Cloud initiatives within ING, Non-Financial Risk (NFR) – Information & Technology Risk (I&TR) management is looking for an Intern with a study and strong focus on AI & Cloud risk (mainly technology). 

Our clients trust us to keep their financial assets and data safe and secure. The purpose of a NFR-Information Risk Intern is to ensure that the way we operate on a day-to-day basis allows us to keep this promise to our clients and to remain a responsible and accountable global financial institution. Our NFR department plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and stability of our organization, with special attention to emerging risks such as AI and Cloud computing.

Assignment

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven intern to join our NFR I&TR department, specifically focusing on AI and Cloud risk. During this internship, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in identifying, assessing, and managing risks associated with the use of (generative) artificial intelligence and cloud computing within our organization.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supporting the execution of risk analyses and assessments related to AI and cloud initiatives.
  • Contribution to the development and implementation of risk control measures for AI and cloud initiatives.
  • Assisting in the preparation and updating of risk reports and documentation.
  • Participating in improving risk management processes for (Gen)AI and cloud initiatives.
  • Analyzing incidents and near-misses to gain insight into potential risks.
  • Attending internal meetings and discussions regarding risk management.
  • Providing support for ad-hoc risk management tasks.

How to succeed

To take on this challenging and rewarding opportunity, you’ll need: 

  • At least, Bachelor (third-year bachelor) student with a strong interest in AI, Cloud, Cyber Security
  • Strong communication skills 
  • High ambition and energy level 
  • Organisational and project management skills 
  • Fluency in business English and ideally oral proficiency in Dutch
