IT Area Lead - Procurement & Cost Ledger Systems
ING is looking for an experienced IT Area Lead (ITAL) to strengthen its Finance and Procurement organization.
In this exciting role, you will work at a place where you will make a lasting impact by driving the technology strategy and delivery for procurement and cost management capabilities, ensuring scalable, compliant, and value-driven solutions that empower finance and procurement teams to optimize spend, manage supplier relationships, and maintain financial control. The new Procurement and cost Management area is responsible for Account Payables, Account receivables , asset management , cost management ,VAT reclaim and additional modules which is crucial part of the bank .
The team
As IT Area Lead you will join the management team of the IT Lead Finance & Procurement and will execute the vision of ING wide end to end Procurement, cost management , and reporting which is in line with ING’s strategy.
In this role, IT Area Lead will be responsible for managing all the Procurement and cost Management team spread across NL , Manila and SSI-India and technology spread across Oracle ERP , Oracle cloud Infra, Data lake ,reporting using PowerBI and few SaaS solutions.
Roles and responsibilities
We are looking for the following
Designing and executing the IT strategy with proper IT Landscape in line with the bank’s strategy to realize the purposes of the Tribe
Provide technical leadership and growing craftsmanship of IT Chapters
Ensure you and your team is up to date with the latest industry Cloud standards and trends in ERP system, Data Management, analytics and reporting solutions.
your area with an emphasis on:
Agile customer-centric software development
People-oriented management and growth of Chapter leads and engineers
IT automation & Continuous Improvement
Engage and develop ING and external staff, steering on craftmanship to maintain a highly skilled and motivated workforce.
Ensure predictable delivery of our software by Squads in your area, adhering to our promises concerning quality, allocation of resources, timelines, and features.
IT Custodianship of our applications with an effective practice to keep IT Risk within Risk Appetite.
Manage budgets - software expenses, work packages, people and service costs.
Ensure reliable operation of our IT assets where KPIs including availability and other Service Level Objectives are met.
Collaborate closely with our ING Hubs across the globe and our SSI partners in India

Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
Experienced IT leader with 5+ years of experience in an IT management role.
Proven experience in consuming Public cloud services and their interactions
Proven experience on cloud architecture and migration from private to public cloud.
Proven experience in building Enterprise level Reporting solutions on Public cloud
You are genuinely interested in and understand the Finance & Risk domain and how our customers use our F&R systems for reporting. You stay up-to-day on how the business and demands change and can think together with our business colleagues about how best to evolve our proposition.
Vendor management both for software and consulting services is important
Senior Stakeholder management skills are critical for success
While not mandatory, knowledge of banking is a big nice-to-have
You are passionate about growing and developing technical people
You possess excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
You love technology and naturally stay up to date on relevant new developments
You value a multi-cultured environment where English is the working language, and you easily get on with people from different cultural backgrounds.
You enjoy to collaborate with architects and engineers to design and implement solutions.
