IT DevOps Senior Java Developer
We are looking for a Senior Dev engineer with modern day engineering skills and competences like an eye for innovation, creativity, attention for detail and communication.
Our stack
Our back-end APIs are created with an internal Spring (Boot) based framework and run on virtulaized hardware(ING Container Hosting Platform). To comply with our regulators demands, IT Risk and security by design will become part of your DNA. This means that you need to be a quick learner to understand them, and you need to have the ambition to improve and automate as much as possible.
Roles & Responsibilities
- You will be part of a squad: a self-managing, autonomous unit with end-to-end responsibility for a customer journey.
- You will be involved in the whole development lifecycle, from refining user stories until monitoring software in production, where your main focus will be coding
- You coach and help the team to the next level
- You speak up and challenge decisions (you ask why things are done instead of just doing them)
How to Succeed
- Minimum of 10+ years of work experience as a Java developer
- Good understanding of microservices architecture patterns
- A minimum of 4+ years of experience in Maven and Spring (Boot)
- Experience with CI/CD tooling (at least Git and Jenkins/Azure DevOps)
- Affinity with kafka
- Experience with the Agile/Scrum/Kanban way of working
- Proficient in English
- You are open and you give & accept direct feedback
- You have a focus on quality and challenge your colleagues (e.g. during peer reviews)
- You have a strong interest and vision in recent trends in software development and technology in general. Ability to transfer this knowledge back to ING
Nice to Have
- Experience with docker/containerization
- Experience with Monitoring & Observability (ELK stack or similar)
