Business Consultant KYC Cockpit & Advisory Team – Tribe KYC Services

The opportunity

ING provides banking services and complex financing solutions to companies globally. To provide a safe banking environment for our customers, ING must comply with global Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations including maintaining robust Know Your Customer (KYC) controls. All KYC related domains work closely together to form the Global Financial Crime & Fraud Prevention organization, to further the effective and efficient management of ING’s Financial Economic Crime (FEC) risks by establishing shared standardized guidance, technology, and operational processing.

Within KYC it is our purpose to detect and prevent financial crime. Throughout the life cycle of the customer, we ensure the right measures and monitoring are in place to comply with anti-money laundering, terrorist financing and tax evasion rules and legislation that will protect both our customers and ING. This includes customer onboarding, periodic and event driven reviews, name screening, pre-transaction screening, adverse media screening and transaction monitoring. By providing policies, standards, process designs and tooling, the KYC tribe contributes to ING’s societal role as gatekeeper to safeguard our financial infrastructure against financial crime.

The KYC Cockpit & Advisory Team
The role of Business Consult is part of the Center of Expertise Cockpit & Advisory, as a team we focus on:

• Keep oversight of our key metrics and progress, work together with the Product Area Leads and Super Circle Leads on areas at risk
• Prepare senior management and stakeholder reporting, perform deep dives and data driven analysis.
• Support, preparation, facilitation and decision making for several KYC related sr. management meetings
• Non Financial Risk Management by monitoring risks and issues, work close with the owners to resolve them and perform Key Control Testing
• Work on large cross area / tribe projects and provide advise on a wide range of topics.

What will you do?

As Business Consultant for the KYC Cockpit you are mainly responsible for the following activities
 

• You will organize and support senior stakeholder meetings and communications.
• You will help prepare decisions and deep dives for senior stakeholder meetings
• You will help to improve and professionalize the sr management meetings further
• You will help document the outcome of sr management meetings with proper audit trail
• You will help to realize the planning of tribe KYC Services by pro actively monitoring and identifying challenges and dependencies
• You align with local and global stakeholders to help resolve them issues and manage dependencies
• You stimulate global and cross-tribe interaction between people, squads and areas.
• You will help create and maintain oversight of all KYC topics within KYC Services.
• You will strengthen the 'ING way of working' while promoting the Orange Code as a role model.
• You will share the responsibility to improve ING's KYC performance and identify opportunities to better serve and delight our customers working from a long term perspective.
• You will work closely with the KYC Services Lead and Leadership Team in journey towards our KYC vision 2030.
• You will translate our Horizon28 strategy and changing customer behavior into business value, ensure focus on priorities and deliverables.
• You will work on different (ad hoc) projects within our own team or the tribe.
   

Your education, experience and background

• You have a Master's degree and 2-5 years banking experience (a degree in Legal / Business economics is a pre).
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in KYC is a pre.
• You strive to bring fresh ideas and accept challenges in a rapidly changing and complex environment.
• You have an open personality and are eager to learn/ absorb new knowledge.
• You enjoy being a spider in the web and communicate/ have contact with different stakeholders on a daily basis.
• You are a person who listens and invests in others to achieve common goals. In addition, you provide creative solutions to problems.
• You are an enthusiastic colleague who is willing to help others succeed and you always think one step ahead.
• You will work and act in accordance with ING's Orange Code
• You have experience in working with multidisciplinary teams and are focused on delivery through collaboration.
• You have the ability to act autonomously and think out of the box.
• You have the ability to simplify complexity and challenge on content and solutions.
• You are an expert in Excel and PowerPoint
• You have a learning agility and innovative mindset
• You have well developed written and verbal communication skills and excellent level of both Dutch and English.
• You are analytic and decisive
