Due to a dynamic market, ING has a greater demand for digitalization with more process automation and more reuse, therefore our role as a global platform is crucial to accelerate this view as we are at the core of process automation.

We are looking for an operations engineer to support our platform as a service on the Azure Cloud environment.

Roles and responsbilities

  • Ensure our platform is compliant by following internal and regulatory guidelines. This includes things like:
    • Writing in control statements
    • Providing risk evidencing
    • Participate in SOX testing
    • Performing detailed risk assessments
    • Monitoring DORA compliancy
  • Execute and improve incident and service management.
  • Set up and improve our platform infrastructure on public cloud (Azure).
  • Work on pipeline automation for our consumers.

How to succeed

  • Strong knowledge and experience on IT Operations in a highly available, secure, and complex environment.
  • Experience with setting up and improving incident and service management.
  • Experience of working in financial organizations / highly regulated environments, dealing with requirements from Enterprise Architecture, Information Security and Risk.
  • Knowledge and experience in IT Risk evidencing, SOX testing and DORA regulations.
  • Extensive knowledge on Public Cloud (Azure Cloud).
  • Experience in observability tools as ELK, Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Experience with tools as Azure DevOps, K8s, Terraform.
  • Knowledge on RDBMS, preferably Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience in Pega is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to explain technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You are customer-focused, communicative and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical thinking and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong resilient, constructive, collaborative and continuous improvement mindset
  • Self-motivated and ability to prioritize and delegate to achieve exceptional outcomes.
  • Ability to network and be aware of changes within the global industry and profession.
