Pega Engineer - DevOps

ING is hiring Senior Pega Engineer with a passion for IT and a positive can-do mind-set. You are a team player working as a core member of a multidisciplinary, distributed, and cross-functional squad: a self-managing, autonomous unit with end-to-end responsibility for a customer journey. You will be involved in the whole development life cycle, from refining user stories until monitoring software in production. Close collaboration within and across the squads and with the customers is of utmost importance for you.

As an Engineer your main tasks will be:

• Analyse and modify requirements as needed, and actively contribute to the refinement and planning of user stories.

• Participate in solution designing and implement qualitative applications

• Build application as close as possible to Pega out-of-the-box features

• Create or modify Unit Tests when necessary along with the implementation of new functionalities

• Participate in manual testing activities when required

• Pro-actively monitor application quality, You are familiar with Monitoring solutions (Kibana, Grafana, PDC)

• Ensure logs do not contain undesired messages or errors, protecting sensitive data from exposure.

• Participate in the Peer Review Process.

• Knowledge of Incident & Problem management process

• Occasionally participate in standby weeks.

• Identify opportunities for automation and assist in implementing automation wherever possible

• Assist with Performance Analysis and fine tuning of Pega Applications

• Assist in resolving high priority or repeating defects by troubleshooting and/or recommending fixes for defects

How to succeed

• Should be an experienced Senior System Architect. CLSA certification is a plus

• Have at least 5 years of experience designing and implementing Pega applications.

• Well versed with class hierarchy, ruleset hierarchy, data layer, flows, flow actions, work baskets, deployment

• Strong in Pega areas such as Case management, Integration & security

• Good understanding on BPM best practices, implementation life cycles

• Propose innovative solutions using cutting-edge technology and be willing to learn new skills such as automation testing.

• Experience with SCRUM or similar agile SDLC methodologies

• Excellent verbal and written communication

• Experience in Optimising application scalability and performance, including the app server and database.

•  Encourage team growth and develop scalable, future-proof solutions.

• Lead in the adoption of Agile / Scrum practice, methodologies, and attitudes.

• Handle Engineering solutions which are highly secure, performant and maintainable

• You are an ambitious Engineer who can add value based on his/her in depth technical knowledge.

• You have a collaborative approach to solving problems while bringing positive energy to the team

• You have an ability to give and receive professional feedback
