Product Manager Onboarding/ID&V

At ING we are mobile led, which means that the mobile channel has our strategic focus. We therefore look for a Product Manager with IT affinity and ability to create superior customer flows.
The team
At Onboarding we are responsible for onboarding more than 300.000 new ING customers each year. With 4 multi-disciplined squads we welcome all retail customers and manage both mobile onboarding as well as onboarding via our assisted channels and provide onboarding capabilities to other domains such as Mortgages and Business Banking.
We continuously explore, release, and test new features to provide secure processes that delight our customers. We do this in constant dialogue with our colleagues at Product fulfilment, KYC, Digital & Customer Interactions, Fraud & Cybersecurity and Customer Data. Superior customer experience and conversion optimalization are our main focus areas.
ID&V
The Identification & Verification (ID&V) team focuses on ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for the identification and verification of natural persons. At the same time we use cutting edge technology to ensure the best customer experience. This means working in close collaboration with Digital & Customer Interactions, Fraud & Cybersecurity, and Customer Data teams.
Role and responsibilities
- Conduct user research and analysis to gain a deep understanding of the needs of our customers and identify areas of improvement
- Design and implement IT solutions that provide value for our customers
- Understand the need to comply with regulations and policies but dare to debate options
- Balance optimal customer value and profitability for ING
- Understand architecture, relevant IT landscape and technologies across different business units and outside ING
- Give and ask constructive feedback
How to succeed
As Product Manager you have strong analytical skills and take decisions based on data and facts. You have experience in/understanding of Identification and Verification processes in the Financial Industry and solid interpersonal and collaborative skills to interact with different stakeholders.
Furthermore, you have:
- A Master or Bachelor degree
- At least 2 years relevant experience in product/IT delivery
- Experience in exploring customer needs and skills to bridge IT and business
- Realization skills, able to take on a challenge and make it happen
- A good command of the Dutch language (plus)
