The team CREFS NL
The Centre of Expertise for Corporate Real Estate Management and Facility Services Netherlands (CREFS NL) is responsible for managing the real estate portfolio and related facility services for ING’s offices in the Netherlands. Our goal is to provide an inspiring and sustainable work environment that connects people, attracts talent, and contributes to the strength of our business units. By creating an environment that fosters a positive employee experience and by developing an attractive real estate portfolio, we deliver tangible value to our internal clients and the organization as a whole. To continue delivering value, we consistently invest in innovation, enabling us to stay ahead and operate in a lean, cost-conscious, and CO₂- and energy-efficient way. We create environments that are not only inspiring but also truly make a difference. We achieve this by placing sustainability and inclusivity at the heart of everything we do, enhancing the employee experience, and making ING’s brand identity tangible in every space.

Roles and responsibilities
The graduation project involves researching, analyzing, and providing tools for improving the employee experience in the office. The research begins with a baseline measurement of the employee experience and what constitutes this experience. The research focuses on the elements that improve the employee experience, so that employees are encouraged to come to the office more often.

How to succeed
Our greatest expectation is that you remain curious. Keep learning. Take responsibility for your graduation project. In return, we will support you in developing into an even better version of yourself. We are looking for a motivated graduating student who has the following qualities and abilities:

  • Communication and social skills to interact with people and anticipate daily activities, needs, and changing circumstances.
  • Sufficient knowledge of Dutch and English (written and spoken) to be able to report, communicate, interact with users, and understand various procedures within ING.
  • Positive work attitude, stress-resistant, and proactive.
  • Adequate handling of unexpected situations.
  • Honesty and integrity in your work.
  • Analytical, asking the right questions, weighing pros and cons.
  • Flexible, dealing with deviations.
  • Motivated to acquire professional knowledge.
  • 4 years of higher professional education in Facility Management.

What we offer

  • A team of experienced professionals in the field of facility management who will help you in your development
  • Opportunities for exploration and research assignments within CREFS NL Facility Services
  • A very enjoyable experience that will help you decide what to do after your studies
  • And an attractive internship allowance

Rewards and benefits

This is a great opportunity to train with highly skilled people who are experts in their field. You’ll do a lot and learn a lot – not only about your specialist area and the bank, but also about yourself and whether this type of environment is right for you.

You’ll also benefit from:

  • Internship allowance of 700 EUR based on a 36 hours work week

  • Your own work laptop

  • Hybrid working to blend home working for focus and office working for collaboration and co-creation

  • Personal growth and challenging work with endless possibilities

  • An informal working environment with innovative colleagues

During the duration of your internship at ING, it is mandatory to be enrolled at a Dutch university (or EU-university for EU passport holders).
