Java Engineer - replacement contract
We are looking for you, if you:
- Have 3+ years of experience in Java with proven track record about:
- analysing and designing of new features,
- investigating and solving complex issues,
- Have very good knowledge of:
- Java 17+ and Spring framework,
- GIT,
- Kafka,
- Docker and OpenShift,
- REST API,
- Have experience in microservices architecture (service mesh, API gateway),
- Have strong analytical approach to problem solving.
English level - B2
You'll get extra points for:
- Experience in observability and monitoring practises and tools (elastic, kibana, prometheus, logstash),
- Experience in testing automation,
- IT Service Management knowledge,
- Agile and DevOps knowledge.
Your responsibilities:
In this role as Java Dev Engineer you will be part of the GDMSSync DevOps team which is responsible for developing and maintaining document archiving services.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analysis and development of new features and maintaining existing ones,
- Coordination of feature tests with related squads,
- Assist the squad in required tasks like collecting logs for investigation, doing checks after changes, etc.,
- Fully contribute to improving the GDMSSync squad’s processes whilst also ensuring all mandatory requirements such as IT risk control, change control etc. are adhered to,
- Contribute to improvements and be proactively engaged in the teams Scrum ceremonies.

ING is looking for a Dev Engineer for GDMSSync squad in the Document Management (Document & Content Services, D&CS) domain.
Within Group Services – Corporate Technologies, D&CS is responsible for the development and maintenance of all applications regarding document composition, digital communication (Inbox, SMS, email), print management, scanning, data capture and archiving. D&CS is constantly building on the state-of-the-art Customer Communication experience to enable our strategic ambitions. A challenging mission based on technologies where Linux, Java, .NET and a diversity of COTS products are needed to deliver an integrated customer solution.
