We are looking for you if you have:

  • some proven experience in IT environment,
  • at least 2 years of experience in working with Mainframe,
  • understanding of z/OS operating system, including JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF,
  • general knowledge about database management (SQL, DB2), IBM MQ, programming and CICS for z/OS Mainframes,
  • ability to analyze and resolve system errors (abends, dumps, logs),
  • experience in working with schedulers (OPC, TWS, Control-M),
  • ability to make fast decisions and work under pressure,
  • coordinating and teamwork skills with ability to collaborate across operations, development, security teams and business,
  • good communication skills and you are open to new challenges,
  • ability to complete tasks and achieve results in an efficient, timely and high-quality manner.

English level – minimum B2

You'll get extra points for:

  • IT Certificates confirming your IT knowledge,
  • knowledge about BMC products (Topaz, ISPW),
  • experience with Disaster Recovery procedures,
  • ability to share knowledge.

Your responsibilities:

  • provide 2nd level Technical Support for core banking services (including Mainframe),
  • delivery (regression testing, conflict resolution etc.) and testing of specific Mainframe jobs and SQL scripts,
  • scheduling of OPC,
  • installing changes in Mainframe environment (daily and monthly release),
  • maintain availability of all Environments involvement in out-of-business-hours planned changes and provide standby on-call service as required,
  • monitoring of batch jobs performance and storage on DB2,
  • collaboration with multiple application teams, business partners and developers.

Information about the squad:

You will join the team where you will be responsible for managing core banking environment for one of our clients by using command line and dedicated tools. You will perform IT activities in systems which are used in ING Group, on top of that you're going to install changes in such systems like: operating systems, applications and databases, you will be responsible for scheduling of jobs, working with ITSM tool and supporting other functions when required.

The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Engineer III”.
